Scholarships: International Section

Overview: The Korean International School recognises and rewards academic merit within the International Section. The following scholarships have generously been established and are available to secondary students.

A description of each scholarship follows with a summarising table.

M. T. S. Scholarship – B.W. Park

Mr. B. W. Park established a scholarship for the International Section. This scholarship is awarded to a student of any nationality who is attending Year 8 –Year 11 at Korean International School who demonstrates academic merit based on high grades in examinations of the core subjects of Mathematics, Science, English and Social studies. The student must have exemplary attendance, behaviour and attitude towards learning.

Year 12 Scholarships – Board of the Korean International School

The Board of KIS established a scholarship that is awarded to any Year 12 student who has achieved an A or B grade on a core subject [Mathematics, Science, Social Studies or English] external examinations - IGCSE or equivalent. The students must have exemplary attendance, behaviour and attitude towards learning.

Li Ka-shing Scholarship

Sir Li Ka-shing established a scholarship for the International Section. This scholarship is awarded to the Year 13 student who has achieved the highest grades in the AS external examinations. The student must have exemplary attendance, behaviour and attitude towards learning.

Selection For Year 8 to 10: Award allocated to 2 students per year group. The highest Term 1 examination scores averaged in Mathematics, English, Social Studies and Science.
For the Year 11: Award allocated to 2 students with the highest Term 2 Mock examination scores averaged in Mathematics, English, Social Studies and Science.
Award given to any Year 12 student who has achieved an A or B grade on a core subject [Mathematics, Science, Social Studies or English] external examinations - IGCSE, HKCEE or equivalent. Award given to the Year 13 student who achieved the highest grades in the AS external examinations.
