PIPTA

“Our overarching mandate is to enrich students’ school experience, and build closer ties between parents, students, and KIS.”

Dear KIS Community,

In October 2024, KIS established the Primary International Parent Teacher Association (PIPTA), alongside its sister organisation in the secondary school. Fourteen parent volunteers stepped in to take on the responsibility as a PIPTA executive committee.

Our overarching mandate is to enrich students’ school experience, and build closer ties between parents, students, and KIS. This usually means community-driven fundraising days such as second-hand sales, or the cultural fair. But we hope to go further. We hope to upgrade or refurbish school facilities, hand out thoughtful gifts to students during school days, or even improve cafeteria food.

To these ends, we depend on our entire parent community: Each one of you is a member of PIPTA by virtue of having a child in KIS primary’s international stream. Your contributions are crucial to our mandate. Your membership fee allows us to function. Your presence, when you volunteer, knits the community and makes your children’s time at school more fulfilling.

We hope to speak to you often, about our plans and your ideas. We will reach out through Seesaw, Veracross, KIS’s social media, and class representatives. We look forward to an excellent year working with all stakeholders to make our children’s school year a memorable one.

Please get in touch to volunteer at pipta@kis.edu.hk.
