Summer School Programme
The International Section of the Korean International School holds a summer school programme every July for students from the ages of 3 to 12. We offer a comprehensive and educational summer programme in the medium of English to students of all nationalities and employ experienced teachers from the major English-speaking countries to instruct these courses. Our summer programme is to be held this year between Tuesday, July 3rd and Friday, July 27th.

In addition to our Traditional programme (AM session), with our tried-and-tested courses, we will be running an Additional programme (PM session) this year. The morning session will take place between 9am and 12 noon, and the afternoon classes will start at 1pm and finish at 4pm. Students have the possibility this summer of attending only the AM session or the PM session or being more ambitious and selecting the Whole Day programme.

For the AM session, there are two lessons of English each day, and in addition students have two blocks of their supplementary subjects. Even though this is a fixed timetable, students are able to attend a range of exciting lessons, such as Arts and Crafts, IT and PE.

With the PM session, there will be a major emphasis on the English courses from Cambridge ESOL (Pre-Starters, Starters, Movers and Flyers), which are globally recognised qualifications and are becoming increasingly popular courses in Hong Kong. Along with these two lessons of English, we will also be providing English in IT, Brain Gym, Art, Drama and a variety of Sports.

Our summer school courses undoubtedly provide students with an excellent opportunity to further develop English language skills through being immersed in an English-speaking environment. English as a Second Language (ESL) lessons are, though, also available to those students who need extra support and assistance in developing their English language skills.

If you would like your child to attend our summer school, please access our website in April, when you will be able to download the necessary form for enrolment as well as learn key information concerning the contents of the summer school programme.
