Welcome Back (Academic Year 2024-25) – Principal Mr Daniel Hilton
Dear KIS Community,
As we approach the start of the new academic year on Monday, August 26th, I would like to extend a heartfelt welcome back to each of you. I hope you have enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with joy and relaxation.
We are excited to embark on this new journey together, filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and discovery. Our dedicated team has been busy preparing engaging lesson plans and ensuring our campus is ready for your children’s return. This year promises to be filled with enriching experiences, innovative teaching methodologies, and a wide range of extracurricular activities designed to foster both academic and personal development.
We value the partnership between our school and families, and we believe that open communication is essential for a successful educational experience. Our doors are always open, and we encourage you to reach out with any questions or suggestions throughout the year.
As we come together for another year, let us cultivate a sense of unity and respect within our school community. We look forward to getting to know each of you and working collaboratively to create a memorable and successful academic year.
We are currently seeking new leadership for the IPTA. After many years of dedicated service, Angel Chen has stepped down from her role as leader. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to her for her invaluable contributions, as well as to all the volunteers who supported her during her tenure. Your support at events has been a real highlight for me, as the impact on students was immediately apparent.
Soon, you will receive a letter from KIS starting to outline the vision for the next phase of the IPTA. This communication will begin this transition, emphasizing the importance of the KIS parent community in driving this initiative forward, as the IPTA is first and foremost a parent organization. This may involve changes to the current structure, reflecting our collective commitment to enhancing the IPTA experience, this will be open to negotiation with those who eventually take on the roles.
For now, here is a link to the current structure of the IPTA, which would give you an idea of what the organization currently does, and for those who may be interested, a basis to consider the most suitable formation of the new IPTA in the coming weeks. https://www.kis.edu.hk/ipta/
Wishing you all a fantastic start to the new school year!
Best wishes,
Daniel Hilton
